After a solid week of cryptic emails that teased a major announcement on August 7th, Tom Waits has finally delivered and it’s a funky and weird new video for the tune Hell Broke Luce, from his most recent album Bad As Me.

Online speculators were guessing the emails might have been hinting at a tour announcement or even a “Tom Waits’ Cruise”, (still laughing my ass off over that one), but most of us who have been following the man for several decades knew it was most likely a new vid.

I admire the artistry behind the whole thing but, I gotta admit, the “anti-war” message at this point feels more than a little passe’ and dated.
